The African Choir of Norfolk

The much-anticipated African Choir of Norfolk – 5th Annual Gala takes place at Norwich Playhouse, under the direction of Anna Mudeka. This vibrant concert celebrates harmony, heritage, and community through music, storytelling, and stunning new compositions.

This year’s Gala features a special guest performance by Masango Obase-Aboli – contemporary African musician, singer, songwriter, and chromatic balafonist. Originally from Cameroon, Obase-Aboli blends African traditions with jazz and experimental sounds, and has collaborated with global icons including Salif Keita and the Kronos Quartet. Recently named Best Cameroonian Artist in the Diaspora at the Cameroon Music Evolution Awards, he returns to share the stage with the Choir for a second year.
