New Year Honours 2026 — Peter Barrow MBE

In recognition of his outstanding service to the community and to the arts in Norfolk, Peter Barrow, Co-Founder of The Autumn Festival of Norfolk, has been appointed a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the 2026 New Year Honours List. This prestigious award acknowledges Peter’s commitment to culture, charity and community-focused creative engagement across Norfolk.

Peter’s contribution has been central to the Festival’s growth and impact since its founding, helping to establish vibrant artistic programming, support local talent and build meaningful cultural connections throughout the region.

EDP 150 Honours List

Our Artistic Directors recognised for their contributions to Norfolk

The EDP celebrated its 150th birthday in October 2020 with a list of people who have had a positive influence on Norfolk life. The list honours 150 heroes, pioneers and passionate friends of Norfolk. Artistic Director of the Autumn Festival of Norfolk STASH KIRKBRIDE and leader of the festival’s African Choir of Norfolk, ANNA MUDEKA, were honoured among 25 arts and entertainment stars. Artistic Director of Total Ensemble Arts Initiative, REBECCA CHAPMAN, was honoured among 25 stars of charities and good causes.

An Invite to the Queen's Official Garden Party

In May 2016, REBECCA CHAPMAN & STASH KIRKBRIDE and in May 2023 PETER BARROW received invitations to attend the Queen's Official Garden Party at Buckingham Palace, in recognition of their services to the Norfolk community.
